CEPA announces new Chairman
Central European Private Aviation (CEPA), the organisation established to help connect businesses in East and Western Europe, has today announced the appointment of Philippe Liénard as its new Chairman for 2013. Mr Liénard will take up the position in March; continuing the annual rotation of the Chairmanship, with Brendan Lodge of Jet Brokers Europe staying as Deputy Chairman.
French born Mr Liénard is the founder and majority shareholder of Slovakian and Polish based AELIS Group, specialist of Aircraft trading and leasing, and has many years experience of operating businesses within the CEE market. Prior to the formation of AELIS, Mr Liénard created an Aircraft maintenance company (MKTek) and co-founded Aero A&T, a training organisation, both of which were based in Slovenia.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Liénard said “I am delighted to be taking up the role of Chairman of CEPA at such an exciting time in the history of the organisation. CEPA has an increasingly important role in facilitating networking for the private aviation industry across Europe and I want to use my experience in operating in the CEE to further increase CEPA’s value to its members.’’ Mr Liénard added, “I would particularly like to see the advisory board of CEPA becoming of even more help to members in assisting them to conduct business successfully”.
Founder of CEPA and Managing Director of Grossmann Jet Service, Dagmar Grossmann, said “CEPA is very grateful for the significant contribution made by the outgoing Chairman, Brendan Lodge and we are delighted that Philippe has agreed to take over from where he has left off. CEPA is moving into its fourth year and, under Philippe’s leadership, it will continue to grow and increase its stature in the industry”.
The fourth CEPA Expo will be held on the 27th to the 28th of November 2013, in Prague, and will follow on from the successful 2012 event which saw the attendance of a record number of delegates and the introduction of the ‘Cepenger’ interactive communication platform.
